About Tuition and Scholarships
Is this school free?
For qualifying Florida families, tuition may be covered through Florida's school choice scholarship programs. Biscayne Bay Preparatory Academy is in the process of completing registration as an approved Step Up For Students partner school. Contact our enrollment team to confirm current scholarship program registration status before applying funds.
Who qualifies for Florida scholarship funding?
All Florida students in grades K–12 who are eligible to enroll in a public school may apply. There are no income limits, though lower-income families receive priority.
Do voucher-covered students get a free laptop?
Yes, if they earn it. After completing the second quarter with consistent daily engagement, assignment completion, and demonstrated academic effort. This benefit applies exclusively to voucher-covered students.
What is the 50% tuition match?
For non-voucher students who demonstrate genuine academic commitment. You pay half. We cover the other half. Must be earned through consistent daily engagement, completed coursework, and measurable progress.

What is Biscayne Bay Preparatory Academy?
Florida's Premier Online Preparatory School for Grades 6–12. A Florida-registered private school delivering structured, standards-aligned online education supported by certified Success Coaches and an AI-powered learning system available 24 hours a day.
What grades does BBPA serve?
Grades 6–12 and homeschool students. We also serve adults 18 and older through our Adult Diploma Program.
Is this a real school?
Yes. BBPA is a Florida-registered private school under Florida Statute 1002.42. Students earn official transcripts from Florida state-certified Success Coaches and graduate with a diploma meeting Florida state graduation standards.
About Learning
How does a student actually learn here?
Students access coursework through our secure online learning platform at any time, work through a structured curriculum, and have access to a 24-hour AI-powered learning assistant that adapts to their individual level.
How many hours should a student work each day?
A minimum of three to four hours of focused academic work each day. Families set their own schedule.
What if a student gets stuck on something?
Their AI-powered learning assistant is available around the clock. Their Success Coach responds within one business day.
Do students have to log in at a specific time?
No. There are no fixed class times or mandatory login windows.
About Success Coaches
What is a Success Coach?
A Florida state-certified teacher who serves as both the student's instructor and academic mentor. They provide direct instruction, give feedback on assignments, track progress in real time, and reach out proactively when a student needs support.
How does a student communicate with their Success Coach?
Through our course platform, by email, and by video conferencing when needed. Success Coaches hold weekly virtual office hours and respond within one business day.
About Programs and Credits
What diploma programs are available?
General Diploma, College Preparatory Diploma, and Career Pathways Diploma. Each is a complete 24-credit program.
Can students transfer credits from a previous school?
Yes. Up to 18 eligible transfer credits from accredited institutions. Submit official transcript within 30 days of enrollment.
How long does it take to graduate?
Most students finish in 12 to 24 months depending on prior credits and daily study commitment.
Can students take individual courses without a full diploma program?
Yes. Credit Recovery students may enroll in individual courses.
About College and NCAA
Will colleges accept this diploma?
Yes. BBPA is a Florida-registered private school and our diplomas meet Florida state graduation standards. Colleges and universities accept diplomas from Florida-registered private schools meeting state graduation standards.
Are courses NCAA eligible?
BBPA is a new school and is in the process of submitting our course list to the NCAA Eligibility Center for approval under our school code. Student athletes should contact our enrollment team immediately.
Does BBPA offer AP courses?
Yes. Advanced Placement courses are available in the College Preparatory program with weighted GPA recognition.
