Who We Are.
Florida's Premier Online Preparatory School for Grades 6–12
About BBPA
Built for the student the traditional system was never designed to serve.
"Every diploma we issue is from a Florida-registered private school recognized by colleges, universities, employers, and the military."
Biscayne Bay Preparatory Academy is Florida's Premier Online Preparatory School for Grades 6–12 — a Florida-registered private school delivering a structured, standards-aligned online education to students and homeschool families across Florida and beyond. Every course is taught by a Florida state-certified Success Coach. Every student is supported by an AI-powered learning system available around the clock.
We are not a virtual version of a traditional school. We are something the education system has not consistently provided: a credentialed, technology-powered institution built specifically for learners whose lives, goals, and circumstances do not fit inside a fixed classroom. Athletes. Performing artists. Homeschool families. Students who need a fresh start. Adults finishing what they started.
Three diploma tracks — General, College Preparatory, and Career Pathways — give every student a structured path forward. Year-round enrollment means there is no waiting for a semester to begin. Real-time academic tracking gives families full visibility into progress at every step.
Our Origin
Why We Were Founded
This institution did not begin with a business plan. It began with a career spent inside the system — watching what worked, documenting what failed, and building the conviction that something fundamentally better was possible.
Our founder is a finalist for Teacher of the Year in one of the three largest school districts in the United States, with a career spanning three states and thousands of students taught across vastly different communities.
"Over that career, the same recurring truth emerged everywhere: the system was failing capable students not because those students lacked ability, but because the structure was designed for a student that no longer universally existed."
Thousands of students passed through those classrooms. Some thrived. Some were reached just in time. Too many slipped through gaps that the institution was not built to close. Every one of those students left a mark.
The decision to build Biscayne Bay Preparatory Academy was not made in a boardroom. It was made at the intersection of professional excellence and personal conviction — the point where a decorated educator who had done everything the system asked decided that the only credible response was to build something better.
This school exists because someone who gave everything to the classroom decided that the classroom was not enough.
The Problem We Solve
American Education Is Under Significant Pressure
Public schools are closing. Charter schools are losing funding and shutting down without warning. Teacher shortages have reached critical levels. Classrooms are overcrowded. Families who once trusted the system are discovering, often too late, that it was never designed for every kind of learner.
Biscayne Bay Preparatory Academy was founded to serve all of them — the family that chose homeschooling and needs real academic structure, the student who left a failing school and needs a fresh start, the young athlete who needs to train and compete without falling behind academically, the adult who never stopped believing that finishing their education was worth doing.
What We Provide
What Every Student Gets
Who We Serve
Our Students
Our students are athletes who train at 5 AM and need school to work around that reality. They are performing artists whose schedules do not fit a bell schedule. They are students who have changed schools so many times that academic consistency felt impossible — until now. They are homeschool students whose families want the best of both independence and institutional rigor. They are adults who carried the weight of an unfinished diploma for years and finally have the right path to complete it.
They do not share a single story. They are held to a single standard.
Our Promise
Our Commitment
Every student who enrolls at Biscayne Bay Preparatory Academy is expected to commit a minimum of three to four hours of focused academic work each day. We provide the tools, the instruction, the support, and the credential. You bring the commitment. We bring everything else.
The thousands of students our founder helped inside the traditional system made this institution inevitable. Every student we serve here is the continuation of that work, just finally in a system specifically designed to give every student the support they need to finish.
Take the Next Step
The credential is real. The support is here. The standard is high.
Year-round enrollment means there is no reason to wait. Start whenever you are ready.
